Requirements


Eligibility:

We encourage any prospective collision centers to have a good working relationship with the local Toyota dealership in their area. They must be willing to comply with program requirements including training, equipment, and facility standards. This is based on Toyota discretion according to market conditions.

Location Requirements:

The location requirements for a Toyota Certified Collision Center (TCCC) focus on ensuring the center is well-positioned to serve Toyota customers effectively. While specific geographic considerations are typically applied, Toyota may grant exceptions based on factors such as the shop’s capacity and the overall needs of the market. Being situated in a particular area does not guarantee exclusivity, as Toyota evaluates each center’s potential to meet service demands. The program requirements are subject to change based on Toyota’s strategic considerations and market conditions.

Program Compliance


The Toyota Certified Collision Center (TCCC) program mandates strict compliance with various standards to maintain certification. Participating centers must adhere to detailed requirements in facility standards, equipment, and staff training, ensuring high-quality repairs and customer service. Centers are required to submit financial and repair order data regularly, allowing Toyota to monitor performance and provide benchmarking. Compliance with these standards is essential for maintaining certification and receiving the program’s benefits.

Toyota conducts regular evaluations and consultations to ensure continuous adherence to program requirements, and any noncompliance can lead to revocation of certification or additional corrective actions.

  • Access to discounted tools and equipment and participation in the Toyota Loaner Tool Program.
  • Licensed use of TCCC signage upon certification, and access to professional Toyota marketing materials.

Minimum Training Requirements

  • Managers
    10 online courses
  • Estimator
    10 online courses
  • Repair Technicians
    10 online courses, 2 instructor-led courses (3 days total)
  • Refinish Technicians
    10 online courses, 1 instructor-led course (2 days total)

Facility Requirements


All TCCCs (regardless of location)

  • The Building Exterior is free of
    • Broken windows/shattered glass
    • Blemishes or damage to signage letters
    • Major blemishes on customer-facing doors and/or exterior walls
  • The Customer Lounge has:
    • No rips or tears in furniture
    • No paint chipping
    • No leaks in ceiling
  • The collision center must be clean enough to not impact the delivery of high-quality repairs and superior customer service
  • Facility has office space for management, administrative, and production staff
  • Wi-Fi Access
    • Minimum download speed = 5 Mbps
    • Wi-Fi coverage in customer lounge & shop area (different Wi-Fi names for each)
    • Wi-Fi measuring method: Phone App (Speedtest by Ookla)
  • Dedicated drive-in customer/estimate (not WIP) parking (with signage)
    • Minimum 2 spaces per 100 cars repaired monthly
  • Appropriate building signage / logos (only upon Certification):
    • Subject to applicable local zoning and land use regulations, the Trademark shall be represented in approved non-permanent exterior and interior signage and shall be at least as well represented (in terms of size, prominence, quality and volume) as other OEM marks and logos
  • Permanent signage (pylon signage or signage installed or affixed to the exterior of a building that, if removed, would result in damage or destruction or require renovation or rehabilitation) is not permitted for any of the following:
    • Insutance Carrier branding
    • Rental Car branding
    • Non-automotive branding
    • Trademark or any reference to TMS or Toyota
    • Other OEM trademarks or names
  • Restrooms onsite and accessible from customer lounge

On Campus With Separate Facility
(Same address as dealership, separate building)

  • Appropriate building signage/logos (only upon certification):
    • Subject to applicable local zoning and land use regulations, the trademark shall be represented in approved non-permanent exterior and interior signage and shall be at least as well represented (in terms of size, prominence, quality and volume) as other OEM marks and logos
  • Permanent signage (pylon signage or signage installed or affixed to the exterior of a building that, if removed, would result in damage or destruction or require renovation or rehabilitation) is not permitted for any of the following:
    • Insurance carrier branding
    • Rental car branding
    • Non-automotive branding
    • Trademark or any reference to TMS or Toyota
    • Other OEM trademarks or names
  • Restrooms onsite and accessible from customer lounge

Off Site (Different address than dealership)

  • Appropriate building exterior permanent signage/logos (only upon certification)
  • All TCCCs not permitted:
    • Insurance carrier branding
    • Rental car branding
    • Non-automotive branding
  • If Toyota mark/logo is used on exterior:
    • Any exterior wall with mark/logo is required to have aluminum composite material (ACM)
    • Exclusive exterior Toyota branding
    • If Toyota mark/logo is used on exterior:
    • Other OEM marks and logos permitted
    • MSO branding (e.g., CARSTAR/FIX AUTO/Caliber) permitted
    • Restrooms onsite and accessible from customer lounge
